Infinity Scarf In Maroon Recycled Sari Silk
Item Description
This scarf has been made from a recyced silk Sari in a plain maroon color. The silk is smooth and a little stiffer than the drapey types of silk. I believe there may be some rayon (man made silk) content within this fabric. The scarf is double fabric and all seams are finished on the inside. The finished loop of the scarf is 78"L x 5" and can be wrapped up to 2 times around the neck. There is one seam that should be placed at the back of the neck before wrapping. This particular scarf has been pressed, but if you prefer a scrunchy look then wetting the scarf, scrunching it and hanging to dry will provide this finish. Simply use a medium heat iron and a little steam to press for a more polished finish when needed.
I enjoy making these recycled scarves. All have had had a previous wearing history, now I'm renewing their lives with someone new:) I avoid all obvious faults in these fabrics, though small nuances may remain that are not detrimental to wearing, such as slight blemishes/weave idiosyncrasies (that were there from being made). I attempt to avoid any and all holes within the fabric. All fabric is pre-cleaned with mild detergent, suitable for most skins, and treated with UV light.
Easy aftercare instructions will be sent with your order.
