Bow Tie Deep Yellow Tie Dye Patterned Silk Sari Scarf 72"L x 5.5"W
Item Description
This deep yellow colored scarf, double layer fabric, made from a vintage recycled silk Sari (I believe this to be 70's-80's) The fabric is a smooth, opaque silk iin good condition that has a small amount of stiffness to it. It has a tie dye floral look pattern on it in purple, pink and cream (the large motif reminds me of pansies:)). Can be worn as a bow tie scarf but can be tied in other ways too.
I make several different styles of scarf when recycling from these Indian Silk Saris and have done so for a number of years now. I use only the best sections of fabric to make the scarves from, though all of them have had some kind of wear history and some are certainly vintage. There may be small nuances/blemishes/ idiosyncrasies within the weave (completely natural when the silk was woven) that remain. If there are any blatant faults in the fabrics (there can be huge tears/holes in the Saris) they don't make it to being a finished item for sale. Easy aftercare instructions will be sent with your order.
All fabrics have been cleaned, both by handwashing in mild detergent that is generally suitable for most skin types (including sensitive) and with UV light.
Other colors and styles of silk Sari scarves can be seen in this section of my store
